Men's Soccer Prepared for Second Season

Morristown, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's soccer team is prepared for its second season in history, as they host Yeshiva University on Friday at 12 pm in its season opener.

The Eagles open its regular season with five straight non-conference home games, including Berkley College on the September 6, and Emory and Henry on the 8th. CSE will hit the road for its first conference game on September 23 when it travels to Penn State Berks for a 4 pm kickoff. After two more non-conference matches at the end of September, the Eagles will play four of the next five conference games on the road, a key stretch in the season.

CSE will close our the regular season with four straight home games, including Penn State Abington and Gallaudet in the final weekend of October. The first round of the NEAC playoffs will take place on Tuesday, October 31.

Head coach Tiago DosSantos brought in 13 newcomers to go along with the three returners. Despite some inexperience, DosSantos is more confident this season. "The big difference between last year and this year is the ability level of the players and commitment level. I expect us to be competitive this year and shock some teams."

Both DosSantos and his team can't wait to take the field on Friday. " I'm excited for us to get the season started and I know our guys are as well! It should be an exciting home opener."
