MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's volleyball team hosts Medgar Evers College and Lehman College in its season opening tri-match on Saturday.
In the first match, the Eagles host Medgar Evers at 10 am. In the next match at 12 pm, Medgar Evers and Lehman square off. In the final match of the day, the Eagles take on Lehman at 2 pm.
CSE played Lehman last season, defeating the lightening 3-1 on the road.
The Eagles will look to head back to the NEAC playoffs for the second straight season. CSE made the playoffs as the fourth seed in the NEAC South Division before falling to Penn State Berks in the first round.
The Eagles bring back seven players from last season including four starters. Starters
Stacy Medina,
Stephanie Mitarotonda,
Maura Farley and
Yasmin'na Muhammad accounted for the bulk of the Eagles offense last season. First year head coach
Alaina Clark expects contributions from the two freshman,
Alizea Amaral and
Joralis Nivar.
