Box Score 2 Bryn Athyn, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's volleyball team (4-5, 1-2 NEAC) defeated Cazenovia College for its first NEAC victory of the season, 3-1 (19-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-21), on Sunday morning.
Despite losing the first set, the Eagles roared back, winning the next two sets, 25-15. The Eagles were fantastic in the third set, finishing with 14 kills and zero errors in the set. In the fourth set, CSE put away 13 kills, giving the Eagles the 25-21 win, and taking the match, 3-1.
Stephanie Mitarotonda and
Julia Misiejuk dominated at the net, finishing with 14 and 11 kills, respectively. Misiejuk and
Rhonyelle Sowell each finished with six block assists.
Nicole Morera added 39 assists in the victory.
In the second match of the day against Keuka College, the Eagles were overmatched, dropping the contest, 3-0 (14-25, 14-25, 9-25).
Morera finished the match with 14 assists and nine digs while
Kiana Cunningham added nine digs.
The Eagles have the week off before traveling to Penn State Abington on Saturday for the second NEAC crossover weekend of the season.
