Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team released its 2016-17 schedule, a 25-game slate, opening up at the 2016 Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament.
The Eagles begin the season at the Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Ramapo College for the second straight season. CSE takes part in the first game of the tournament against St. Joseph of Brooklyn at 5:30 pm on November 18. The Eagles will then play the following day, against either Ramapo or John Jay, depending on results from the previous day.
Following the opening tournament, the Eagles hit the road four days later to take on Centenary College on November 23. On November 29, the Eagles host Penn State Berks in their NEAC home opener at 6 pm.
On December 3, the Eagles play host to Penn State Abington at noon. The following day, CSE travels to Bryn Athyn to take on the Lions. The Eagles round out their December schedule by hosting Vaughn College on December 15 and Old Westbury on December 20.
Entering the new year, the Eagles hit the road for contests at Wilson College on January 7 and Gallaudet University on January 8. The Eagles swept Wilson last season and split the season series with the Bison.
Following the game at Gallaudet, the Eagles play five NEAC contests in the next eight days, four of which are at home, against Penn State Berks, Lancaster Bible, Gallaudet, Wilson and Bryn Athyn.
Following the tough eight-day stretch, the Eagles travel for the next five games with pit stops at Penn College on January 21, Penn State Abington on the 25th, SUNY Cobleskill on the 28th, SUNY Poly on the 29th and Lancaster Bible on the 31st.
CSE opens up February by hosting Penn College on the fourth at 12 pm. The Eagles defeated Penn College last season 86-54 and 85-66. The following weekend, CSE hosts Morrisville State College and Cazenovia College in the final homestand of the season.
Then Eagles round out the regular season by traveling to Wells College on February 17 and Keuka College the following day.
The first round of the NEAC playoffs take place on Tuesday, February 21.
