ASTON, Pa. – The Saint Elizabeth University women's basketball team earned a key road conference victory Saturday afternoon, defeating Neumann University 72-63 at The Mirenda Center.
The contest featured consistent back-and-forth play throughout the first half, as the teams entered halftime tied at 34-33. Saint Elizabeth gained momentum after the break, outscoring Neumann 21-16 in the third quarter to take control of the game. The Eagles maintained their advantage in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Ahjionae Cobb led the Eagles with 20 points, while Yasminah White contributed 17 points. Mya Davis added 14 points, and Elyssa Russo chipped in 13 points while also recording five assists.
Saint Elizabeth knocked down 10 three-pointers in the victory and used strong perimeter shooting to create separation in the second half.
