Eagles Look to Make it Three in a Row on Saturday

Morristown, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's basketball team (2-2, 2-0 NEAC) looks to extend its winning streak to three when they travel to Old Westbury on Saturday.

The Eagles will be looking to avenge an early season loss to Old Westbury when they fell to the Panthers 87-78 on November 20th. Ashley Pledger was the leading scorer for CSE in the opening game of the Roadrunner Tip-Off, dropping 18 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Deja Ingram also had a solid showing in her first career game, netting 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

CSE is coming off a 81-46 rout of Wilson College on December 6th. Ingram once again lead the Eagles in that game, scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. CSE kicked off the start of their winning streak on December 5th, when they beat Gallaudet University, 83-70. The two wins mark the second straight season the Eagles started the season 2-0 in the NEAC.

After defeating CSE on November 20th, Old Westbury fell to Penn State Harrisburg in the championship game of the Roadrunner Tip-Off, 74-57. The Panthers are 6-2 on the season including wins over New Rochelle, Mount Saint Mary, Yeshiva and Mount Saint Vincent. Old Westbury is also off to a 4-0 start in the Skyline Conference.

The game is scheduled for a 12 pm tip on Saturday in Old Westbury, N.Y.
