Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's basketball team hosts Purchase College in their home opener on Thursday night.
The Eagles (2-2, 2-0 NEAC) are bringing a two-game winning streak into the game on Thursday. CSE is fresh off a 50-point victory against conference rival Wilson College.
Valerie Lasko scored a career-high 24 points, while
Amerisse Rogers added 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Ashley Pledger is leading the team so far this year with 16.5 points per game, while
Alivia Roseboro is averaging 4.25 steals and 4.3 assists per game. CSE will look to continue their stellar defense so far this year, holding opponents to just 38% shooting from the field.
Purchase College is 2-5 on the season after defeating Merchant Marine Academy, 57-55, in the season opener and Bard College, 74-49. Purchase is coming off a 64-49 loss to Albertus Magnus on Saturday. Elizabeth Osowiecki is the leading scorer for the Panthers, averaging 16.4 points per game.
The game is set for a 7 p.m. tip-off at Saint Josephs Gymnasium.
