Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's basketball team opens their season on Saturday at the Rose City Classic hosted by Drew University.
The Rose City Classic consists of CSE, Drew University, College of Staten Island, and Clarkson College. CSE will be taking part in the first game of the day on Saturday when they face off with Staten Island at 1 pm. The championship game will be held on Sunday at 4 pm, while the consolation game will be on Sunday at 12 pm.
The Eagles will look to build off their 16-10 record last year. The Eagles season ended in the first round of the NEAC playoffs when they fell to Gallaudet University. CSE returns 3 starters from last year, including leading scorer Ashley Pledger, Danesha Triplett, and Alivia Roseboro. The Eagles will also be returning Key contributors, Amerisse Rogers, Valerie Lasko, Sharolin Sanders, Morgan Sim, and Briana Fedorich. Fifth year head coach Nicole Degenhardt will also be relying on two freshman, Alexandria Garcia and Akeesha Belfon.
The Eagles first home game will take place on December 11th when they host Purchase College at 7 pm.
