MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The St. Elizabeth University men's volleyball team turned in one of its most spirited performances of the season Monday night, battling back from a two-set deficit before falling in a five-set thriller to Cairn University at St. Joseph's Hall.
After dropping the opening two sets, the Eagles responded with resilience, taking the third and fourth sets to force a decisive fifth. Saint Elizabeth carried that momentum into the final frame before Cairn narrowly held on late.
Kennedy Ibezim delivered a dominant all-around effort, finishing with 19 kills on a .680 hitting percentage while also contributing five block assists.
Enock Joachim posted 10 kills and 17 digs, while Kyzier Kelly added eight kills and provided a steady presence in serve receive and transition play. Randel Romero orchestrated the offense with 39 assists.
The performance reflected the continued progress of the Eagles, who continue to battle at a high level as the season moves deeper into the spring.
