MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Saint Elizabeth University Men's Basketball earned a key home victory Tuesday night, defeating Immaculata University 82-76 inside Saint Joseph Gym.
The Eagles trailed 40-39 at halftime but came out strong in the second half, outscoring Immaculata 43-36 over the final 20 minutes to secure the win.
Saint Elizabeth was led by Tye-Rell Monroe, who delivered a dominant performance with 30 points, shooting 10-for-18 from the field while adding 3 three-pointers and going 7-for-9 at the free throw line.
Josiah King added a strong all-around performance with 14 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals, while Johnathan Quiles contributed 14 points and hit 2 three-pointers.
Saint Elizabeth's depth also played a major role, as the Eagles held a 30-24 advantage in bench scoring and used their speed to rack up 23 fast break points.
Although Immaculata held an edge in points in the paint (46-34), Saint Elizabeth made the difference on the glass and in transition. The Eagles won the rebounding battle 43-35 and scored 16 second-chance points, helping them maintain control late.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, February 7th, as they will travel to Aston, PA, to face Neumann at 3PM.
