ASTON, Pa. – The Saint Elizabeth University men's basketball team fell on the road Saturday afternoon, dropping an 80-61 decision to Neumann University at The Mirenda Center.
Neumann built momentum early and carried a 40-27 lead into halftime. Saint Elizabeth fought throughout the second half but was unable to overcome Neumann's offensive efficiency.
Tye-Rell Monroe led the Eagles with a game-high 33 points and added 11 rebounds for a double-double performance. Josiah King contributed 12 points, while Saint Elizabeth grabbed 13 offensive rebounds to generate second-chance opportunities.
Saint Elizabeth shot 32.4% from the field and 6-for-26 from three-point range in the loss.
