Morristown, N.J. – The St. Elizabeth University men's basketball team fought hard but fell 76–61 to Marymount University on Wednesday night at Saint Joseph Gym.

Marymount built an early advantage behind efficient scoring in the paint and strong rebounding, taking a 42–28 lead into halftime. The Eagles responded with a more balanced effort in the second half, tightening defensively and generating offense in transition, but were unable to overcome the first-half deficit.

Tye-Rell Monroe paced St. Elizabeth with 14 points, attacking the basket and finishing strong around the rim. Joseph Mazzola provided a spark off the bench, also scoring 14 points while connecting on three three-pointers. Lawrence Reid added 10 points and was active defensively, recording multiple blocks.

St. Elizabeth matched Marymount's intensity after the break, scoring 33 points in the second half and competing on the glass, while receiving solid production from its bench. However, Marymount maintained control with timely scoring and free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

The Eagles will return to action and continue conference play on Saturday, January 10th, as they will welcome Neumann to St. Joseph's Arena, with tip off set for 3PM.
