ARLINGTON, Va. — The St. Elizabeth University men's basketball team dropped an 81–64 decision on the road to Marymount University on Saturday afternoon at Converse Family Fieldhouse.
Saint Elizabeth stayed competitive throughout the first half, shooting 50 percent from the field and trailing just 40–38 at the break. The Eagles exchanged leads multiple times early and remained within striking distance behind consistent interior scoring and trips to the free-throw line.
Marymount gained momentum in the second half, using efficient shooting and second-chance opportunities to build a double-digit lead midway through the period. Despite continued effort from Saint Elizabeth, the Saints maintained control down the stretch.
Josiah King paced the Eagles with 18 points, while Tye-Rell Monroe also scored 18 points and added six rebounds. Johnathan Quiles finished with 12 points, including three three-pointers, and Lawrence Reid contributed eight points off the bench.
