Brooklyn, N.Y. – January 21, 2026 – The Saint Elizabeth University men's basketball team battled throughout but ultimately fell to Pratt Institute, 83–74, in an Atlantic East Conference matchup Wednesday night at the Pratt ARC.
The Eagles opened the game strong, as Tye-Rell Monroe converted an early driving layup to give SEU the first basket of the contest. However, Pratt quickly settled in, using efficient first-half shooting to build a 37–24 halftime advantage.
Saint Elizabeth responded in the second half with improved offensive rhythm, pouring in 50 points after intermission. Monroe led the Eagles with 20 points and 10 rebounds, recording a double-double performance while attacking the paint and finishing through contact. Josiah King added 20 points, converting 8-of-8 free throws and providing steady interior scoring. Joseph Mazzola contributed 10 points, including a pair of three-pointers, as SEU worked to close the gap.
