Jersey City, NJ- The Saint Elizabeth University Women's Volleyball team took to Jersey City, NJ, to face NJCU in which turned out to be a thrilling five set match between the two squads.

Match Breakdown

• The match was competitive on both ends with it being back and fourth between both squads. Set one would prove how competitive the match would turn out to be, as NJCU would take the set by a final of 29-27, giving the a 1-0 match lead.
• Saint Elizabeth would not allow losing the first set to rattle them, as the Eagles would take the next two sets by finals of 25-22 & 25-23, taking a 2-1 match advantage.
• NJCU would then comeback in set four however and nod the match at two sets a piece, as thanks to the strength of an 8-1 run early in the set, NJCU would take set four 25-12.
• NJCU would carry that momentum into the fifth set, as thanks to multiple runs in set five, would take the fifth set and the match, 15-9.

Top Performers

• Leading the way for the Eagles would be Dadlyna Louis, who would pick up a double-double on the night, as she was able to pick up 17 points off the strength of 16 kills and two block assists.
• Marissa Heimbaugh would actually earn a triple-double for the Eagles, as she would pick up 12 points off of 10 kills and two service aces. Heimbaugh would round out her triple-double on defense as she would pick up 12 digs in the match.
• Marissa Jean Baptiste would round out the double digit scorers for the Eagles, picking up 10 points on the night, as she would tally six kills, three solo blocks, and two block assists.
