Montclair, NJ- The Saint Elizabeth University Women's Volleyball Team would head to Montclair, NJ, to face compete in the Montclair Tri-Match, facing off against both Montclair State & United States Merchant Marine Academy.
SEU 1, Montclair 3
Match Breakdown
- Montclair would take a commanding set one victory vs. the Eagles, thanks to a huge 10-1 run midway through the set, as they would win set one 25-9.
- Saint Elizabeth would rally back however in set two, going on a late 8-2 run to catch up, and then a 3-0 run to take set two 27-25.
- Montclair would then go on to win the next two sets vs. the Eagles, 25-15 & 25-12, to win the match 3-1.
Top Performers
- Dadlyna Louis would lead the Eagles in points, going for 12.5 points on the match, tallying eight kills, four solo blocks, & a block assist.
- Alyssa Wells would lead the team in digs, as she was able to tally 12 for the Eagles, as well as getting four assists. Wells was also able to get two points thanks to two service aces.
- Victoria Compton would lead the team in assists, as she would have 11 assists in the match, as well as tallying five digs for the Eagles.
SEU 0, USMMA 3
Match Breakdown
- The Eagles were able to keep all three sets close with USMMA, as they would fall each set within five points or less.
- Set one would see both teams go on a long run with USMMA going on a 7-0 run to take a 17-10 lead. Saint Elizabeth would then go on an 8-0 run to make it a 24-23 contest, before a service error would give USMMA a 25-23 win.
- USMMA was able to take advantage of an early 5-0 run, as well as a back & fourth set two, as they would win the set 25-20.
- Set three would see the Eagles start off going on a 5-1 run to give them a good lead, but USMMA would retake the lead thanks to a 9-0 run. Both team would go back and fourth between the two teams, but in the end USMMA would take a 26-24 set three, and a 3-0 match victory.
Top Performers
- Ericka Menaling Trajano would pick up 16 assists for the Eagles, as she would aslo contribute five points for the Eagles thanks to five service aces.
- Sienna Volpe would lead the team in both points and kills, tallying eight points off of eight kills. Volpe would also pick up ten digs on the defensive end.
- Marissa Heimbaugh & Alyssa Wells would lead the team in digs, as they would pick up 12 each. Heimbaugh would also pick up six points off of five kills, nd one service ace. As for Wells, she would pick up four assists to go along with a service ace.

The Eagles will return to action on Tuesday, September 23rd, as they head to Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, as they will face Bard College, with match time set for 7:00PM.
