Morristown, N.J. – Saint Elizabeth University Women's Basketball competed through three tight quarters before a fourth-quarter surge by Misericordia resulted in a 76–48 setback on Monday afternoon at St. Joseph's Hall.
The Eagles came out strong to open the game, trailing by just one point, 14–13, after the first quarter. Saint Elizabeth continued to build momentum in the second period, outscoring the Cougars 16–13 to take a 29–27 advantage into halftime.
Elyssa Russo led Saint Elizabeth with a team-high 19 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 at the free-throw line. Ahjionae Cobb added 12 points, while Ty'la Holmes contributed seven off the bench. The Eagles forced 15 turnovers and received 28 points from their bench, showcasing depth and energy throughout the contest.
