LA PLUME, Pa. — The Saint Elizabeth University men's basketball team held off a late surge from Keystone College to secure a hard-fought 75–73 road victory on Wednesday night at Ace Spalding Arena.
SEU jumped out to a strong start, shooting 48.6 percent from the field in the first half and building a 42–30 lead at the break. The Eagles knocked down six three-pointers in the opening period and used balanced scoring to control the tempo early.
Joseph Mazzola led the Eagles with 13 points, shooting an efficient 4-for-5 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Tye-Rell Monroe also added 13 points, attacking the basket and converting 7-of-9 from the free throw line. Johnathan Quiles chipped in 12 points, while Cam'Ron Martel scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds.
Despite the late push, SEU remained composed down the stretch, converting key free throws and getting timely stops to preserve the win. The Eagles finished the game shooting 47.4 percent from the floor and held Keystone to just 7.1 percent from three-point range.
