St. Elizabeth Men’s Basketball Falls in Tight 82–80 Battle at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. — November 22, 2025 — The Saint Elizabeth University men's basketball team put together one of its most complete efforts of the season, but a strong second-half push came up just short in an 82–80 road loss at Hartwick on Saturday afternoon at Lambros Arena.

SEU delivered a balanced scoring attack and forced 17 Hartwick turnovers, turning them into 17 points and fueling 26 fast-break points. The Eagles shot 44 percent from the field and posted 40 points in the paint, outscoring the Hawks in transition and off miscues.

  • Johnathan Quiles led all Eagles with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, adding four rebounds and two assists.
  • Josiah King continued his steady play with 15 points, seven assists, and three steals, sparking several key runs.
  • Cam'Ron Martel added 10 points and two steals, while Rodney Tullis Jr. chipped in 10 points off the bench.
SEU trailed 35–33 at the half and briefly took the lead late in the opening period after two free throws by Lawrence Reid. Hartwick responded with a three in the final minute, then maintained a slim advantage throughout the second half thanks to 11 made three-pointers and a 49–28 rebounding margin.

Despite the deficit, the Eagles stayed within one possession multiple times in the closing minutes before Hartwick held on at the line.

SEU finished the day 30-of-68 from the floor and 14-of-20 from the stripe, with 11 steals on the defensive end.
