November 15, 2025 – Purchase, N.Y. — St. Elizabeth University Women's Basketball earned a resilient 72–66 victory over Purchase College on Saturday afternoon, using a dominant fourth quarter and balanced scoring effort to improve to 2–2 on the season.
The Eagles entered the final quarter tied 46–46 before delivering their strongest offensive stretch of the game, outscoring the Panthers 26–20 in the final frame. SEU's defensive pressure and transition play proved decisive, forcing 27 Purchase turnovers and converting them into 25 points.
Elyssa Russo led St. Elizabeth with 18 points, including two three-pointers, while adding three steals and two assists. My'shiah McQueen delivered an efficient performance with 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, along with seven rebounds. Ahjionae Cobb added 12 points and a team-high six assists, and Mya Davis contributed 10 points and five rebounds before fouling out. Jasmine Pierce anchored the interior with a team-best 10 rebounds.
St. Elizabeth also excelled in the open court, producing 21 fast-break points and holding a strong presence inside with 28 points in the paint. The Eagles finished the afternoon shooting 24-of-61 from the field and 20-of-28 from the free-throw line.
The win marks SEU's second road victory of the season as the team continues to build momentum heading into upcoming non-conference play.
