Media, Pa.- The Saint Elizabeth University Eagles enjoyed a 6-1 conference victory over Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, September 28th, for their first conference match of the year.
The Eagles started overall record now jumps to 4-3-1 on the season, while beginning conference play at 1-0 on the season. The Nittany Lions will begin the conference play 0-1 on the season, as their overall record drops to 1-5-1 on the season.
Scoring started off on a historic note as
Laila Kendle, who needed one goal and three points to break the record for most goals and points scored in a season was up for grabs, and in the first 7 minutes, Kendle would score her first goal and her 14th on the season, which would break her previous record of most goals scored in a season at 13 previously. Less than 20 minutes later, Kendle would score her second goal on the afternoon, and would go on to break for most points in a single season, pushing her total to 32, another record Kendle had previously held with 30 points. The Eagles would go on to score three more goals before the end of the first half, Kendle scoring two of those goals, to secure a hat trick on what was already a big day for her,
Chelsea Sarmiento would pick up the assist on Kendle's fourth goal of the day. Sarmiento would cap off the scoring for the Eagles, as she would put one in the back of the net with just over 88 minutes played in the game,
Emily Fearon would get the save. Fearon would get start in goal for the Eagles, picking up one save in the first half.
Kaylee Davis would close out the game in the net for the Eagles.

The Eagles will return to action on Tuesday, October 1st, as they will return home and continue conference play, as they will welcome in Notre Dame of Maryland to the SEU Soccer Fields, with game time scheduled for 3:00PM.
