Media, Pa.- The Saint Elizabeth Men's Soccer team opened up conference play with a 3-2 victory over Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, September 28th.
With this win the Eagles begin conference play 1-0 on the season, and improve their overall record to 4-4 on the season. Following the loss, Penn State Brandywine's record falls to 2-4-3 on the season, as they begin conference play at 0-1.
The Eagles would strike first with just under 20 minutes played in the game, as
Marvin Miranda would open up the scoring for the game and the Eagles. The Nittany Lions would score twice to take the lead over the Eagles, the first goal would come less than 10 minutes after the Eagles scored their first goal, to send the two teams in to the break tied at one. The Nittany Lions would then strike early in the second half as they would score with just nearly four minutes passed in the second half. Down 2-1, the Eagles needed to mount a comeback to pullout the victory, and they were able to bring the comeback in full circle, as
Sebastian Londono would score two unanswered goals within less than a minute of each other to give the Eagles the 3-2 victory over the Nittany Lions. Londono's first goal would come with just under 64 minutes putting his first goal in the back of the net, off the assist from
Luke Hughen. Londono would then score seconds later halfway to the 65th minute, as
Massimo Rondon would pick up the assist.
Jonathan Ramirez Delgado would get the start in goal, picking up one save on the day to help the Eagles to the win.
Andrew Gonzalez would close the game for the Eagles, coming in with five minutes left to slam the door shut on any potential comeback from Penn State Brandywine.

The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday, October 2nd, as they will return home and continue conference play as they will welcome Notre Dame of Maryland to town, with game time scheduled for 4:00PM, from Robert T. Shields Field on the campus of FDU-Florham.
