Bronx, NY- The Saint Elizabeth Women's Volleyball Team defeated Lehman College on Wednesday, September 18th, in a 3-0 sweep of the Lightning.
With this win the Eagles pull back at .500 with a 4-4 record on the 2024 campaign, Lehman now falls to 2-5 on the season after Wednesday's loss.
The Eagles would not allow Lehman to score more then 20 points each set, which included a 25-18 win in set one, a 25-15 win in set two, and a dominating 25-11 win in set three.
Leading the Eagles in points was
Dadlyna Louis, picking up 11.5 points on the night for the Eagles, which included nine kills, a service ace, a block assist, and a solo block to add to her night.
Marissa Heimbaugh was able to help contribute eight points in the Eagles win, going four and four on the night, with four kills and four service aces to her name, Heimbaugh also was able to pick up five digs for the Eagles.
Taylor Liriano was able to contribute 5.5 points on the night with four kills, a service ace, and a block assist on the night. Onye Bosco was able to secure five points off of five kills for the Eagles in the win.
Kristina Ashton,
Sienna Volpe, and Ericka Trajano Menaling all contributed four points in the Eagles win. Ashton was able to pick up a double-double on the night completing it by getting 13 assists and 10 digs on the night. In addition, Ashton was able to also contribute a kill as well as three service aces in the win. Volpe was able to secure four kills to get her four points on the night, and Menaling Trajano picked up four service aces to go along with 11 assists on the night.
Alyssa Wells contributed three points in the win picking up three service aces on the night, as well as grabbing nine digs for the Eagles. Milliana Sensecat was able to pick up two points and two kills for the Eagles, while teammates
Gianna Rizzolo and
Stephanie Jaramillo also picked up a kill and a point each.
Up Next for Saint Elizabeth
The Eagles will now prepare for a tri-match on Saturday, September 21st, as they will head to Newark, NJ, to compete in the Rutgers-Newark Tri-Match vs. Rutgers-Newark & fellow United East rival Rosemont, in two non-conference match-ups. The first match-up will be vs. Rutgers-Newark, with the match set to begin at 11:00am. The Eagles will then face Rosemont following that match-up.
