The Saint Elizabeth University Men's Basketball team entered Saturday with an 0-3 all-time record in playoff games. Their hot shooting and stingy defense would change that narrative. The Eagles were able to build a substantial lead early and fought until the end to win the first playoff game in program history. With the win, the Eagles increase the program record for wins in a season to 16. The Patriots end their season with a 5-20 overall record in Coach Dominique Boone's first season.


Jonathan Ramos scored a new career-high with 22 points on 8 of 13 shooting. Tye-Rell Monroe made a scoring run of his own late in the game to secrue the victory and ended with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. D'Angelo Blackmond recorded the double-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Nate Thompson chipped in with 12 points. Tyrese Conover passed the ball well ending the night with 8 points and 9 assists. Jordan Lomax added 4 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Cam'Ron Martel contribued 4 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.


The Eagles will advance to the next round of the conference tournament to take on Bryn Athyn College on Monday February 19. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm in Bryn Athyn, PA.
