Chambersburg, PA- The Saint Elizabeth Men's Soccer team defeated the Wilson Phoenix on Saturday, October 19th, shutting out the Phoenix by a final score of 2-0.
With this win, the Eagles move to 9-5-0 overall on the season, while moving to 6-1-0 in conference play. Following the loss, the Phoenix move to 5-11-0 overall on the season, with a 1-6-0 conference record.
Brandon Quishpi would start the scoring early for the Eagles, as with only 2:14 played in the game, Quishpi would find the back of the net to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage early,
Marvin Miranda would pick up the assist on the goal. Both team would stay quiet throughout the first half, with the Eagles controlling possession for most of the half, it would not be until late into the 39th minute that the Eagles would find the back of the net again, this time coming off the foot of
Franco Arteaga, giving the Eagles a 2-0 advantage, for not only the half, but the game as well, as the game would remain 2-0 throughout.

Jonathan Ramirez Delgado, both split time in the net for the Eagles, as the duo would each go 45 minutes, with Gonzalez starting the first half, and Ramirez Delgado closing out the second half. The Eagles back line would prove to be a force as the back line for the Eagles would only allow five shots to be taken by Wilson throughout the game, with none being on target, and limiting the Phoenix to only one corner.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, October 26th, as they will wrap up the regular season on the road, as they will travel to St. Mary's City, MD, to face St. Mary's College of Maryland, with game time scheduled for 3:30pm.
