The Saint Elizabeth Men's Basketball team travelled to Wilson College on Saturday for an intense #2 vs #3 United East Matchup. In the previous meeting, the Eagles pulled out a 58-56 victory in an exciting home contest. This time, it was the Phoenix who would emerge victorious in a 2-point overtime victory. The Eagles remain in excellent position for the playoffs with a 7-3 conference record. Wilson now boasts a 7-2 record in conference play.
Tye-Rell Monroe led the Eagles in scoring with 18 points and 9 rebounds. 
D'Angelo Blackmond registered 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks before fouling out with 8 seconds remaining. 
Jonathan Ramos added 15 points including 2 threes to go along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. 
Nate Thompson was the high man in rebounding finishing with 10 for the Eagles to go along with 4 points, 3 steals, and 3 assists before fouling out with 1 minute to go. 
Pierre Harden contributed 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks on the night. 
The Eagles will look to bounce back at home in a conference matchup against Cairn University on Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm in Saint Joseph Hall.
