The Saint Elizabeth Men's Basketball team made their season debut tonight against rival Drew University in the Battle of Madison Avenue. This marks the first time the rivalry game was held at Saint Elizabeth since November 20, 2018.
The Rangers got off to a hot start early taking a 19-6 lead. The Eagles fought back with an aggressive defensive scheme to cut lead to only a 5-point deficit at halftime. Saint Elizabeth continued to put the pressure on Drew with steals and fast break layups and took the lead with 11 minutes to go in the game. Drew was able to pull away in the final minutes knocking down several long range jumpshots.
