Sara Clarkson Named Head Tennis Coach

Morristown, N.J. – Sara Clarkson was named the Saint Elizabeth University Men's and Women's Head Tennis Coach in September 2021. Clarkson first joined Saint Elizabeth as the Assistant Tennis Coach in October 2019.

"Sara devoted countless hours to our Tennis programs as an assistant coach, so it was a no-brainer to hire her when the position opened. We are really excited to see her lead her own college teams for the first time," said Director of Athletics Tom Wagenblast.

Clarkson began playing competitive tennis at a young age, and she currently teaches both tennis and pickleball to youth and adult players throughout Union, Essex and Somerset counties. She also runs summer tennis camps for USA Sports Group.

She attended Lesley University where she earned a B.S. in Education. She has also completed a Master's program in Coaching & Athletic Administration at Concordia University - Irvine.

Clarkson looks forward to building the program around the competitiveness and support of the veteran players both on and off the court. Her combination of experience and enthusiasm have also allowed her to connect with new players and build excitement for the upcoming spring season.

"It's especially exciting to be a part of Saint Elizabeth University," Clarkson stated. "The culture here engenders respect for one another and care for those both on campus and in the community at large. I will strive to uphold those high standards in our tennis players each and every day."
