Kamille Jacobs (Hillside, N.J./Roselle Catholic) all finished in double figures in both points and rebounds as the College of Saint Elizabeth women's basketball team won 74-53 at Bryn Athyn on Saturday afternoon, and clinched a spot in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs.
It was the fifth consecutive victory for the Eagles (15-5, 12-2 CSAC), who shot 40.3 percent from the field overall, and limited Bryn Athyn (5-16, 4-10 CSAC) to just 25.4 percent shooting.
Baytops totaled 14 points and 11 rebounds, Williams had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and Jacobs finished with 12 points, 11 boards, six assists and two blocks. Sophomore guard
Maria DeVincenzo (Tampa, Fla./Life Center Academy) filled the box score with seven points, eight assists and six steals. Senior guard
Rakiyah Sellers (Newark, N.J./Newark Arts) scored 17 points on Saturday, and now has 942 career points.
The Eagles opened the game on an 8-0 run, led 22-14 after the first quarter, and never trailed throughout.
Up next, Saint Elizabeth hosts Notre Dame on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. The Eagles are second in the league standings, and three of its remaining four games are against teams that have also clinched.
