Kamille Jacobs (Hillside, N.J./Roselle Catholic) scored a career-high 26 points as the College of Saint Elizabeth women's basketball team came away with an 80-64 victory at Cairn on Wednesday night.
Jacobs was 9-for-11 at the free throw line and dished out seven assists, while sophomore guard
Maria DeVincenzo (Tampa, Fla./Life Center Academy) finished with 18 points, two assists and two steals. Junior forward
Kamani Williams (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) totaled eight points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
The Eagles (14-5, 11-2 CSAC) led 39-36 at halftime, but pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Highlanders (1-20, 1-12 CSAC) 41-28 over the final 20 minutes.
Saint Elizabeth scored 23 points off 23 Cairn turnovers, and had 19 assists compared to just 12 turnovers.
Looking ahead, the Eagles are at Bryn Athyn on Saturday, Feb. 8 for a 1 p.m. tip.
