Morristown, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth delivered a 3-0 sweep of St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) on Friday night with identical set scores of 25-19.
The Eagles closed the first set on a 6-1 run, used an 8-3 run to begin the second set, and opened the final frame with the first six points en route to the convincing victory in non-conference play. Senior Stephanie Mitarontonda (East Rutherford, N.J.) had a stellar showing with eight kills, nine service aces, and 11 digs.
Senior Yas Muhammad (Newark, N.J.) contributed eight kills, five aces and nine digs, while junior
Maura Farley (Iselin, N.J.) added 15 assists, nine digs and four kills.
