MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's volleyball team (5-12, 0-6 NEAC) earned its fifth win of the season, downing Sarah Lawrence College, 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18) on Wednesday evening.
With the Eagles leading 7-6 early in set one, it rolled off nine of the next 10 points to open up a 16-7 lead. Up by eight,
Justin Millan served four straight winners to open up a 21-9 advantage. CSE closed out the set winning the last two points, taking the set, 25-15.
After Sarah Lawrence took the second set, 25-21, the Eagles started strong in the third set, winning six of the first seven points. Â Leading 12-6,
Frank Rossi Jr. served three straight points to up the Eagles lead to 15-6. Â With the score 18-10, the Eagles won seven of the final 12 points to take the third set, 25-15.
 The Eagles rode the momentum into the fourth set, taking seven of the first eight points. The Gryphons fought back midway through the set, cutting the Eagles lead to four. CSE stormed right back over the next 10 points, winning seven to take a 20-12 lead.  Both teams went back and forth over the rest of the set, but the Eagles took the final two points to take the set, 25-18 and win the match, 3-1.
Daniel Chavez led the Eagles with 20 assists, seven digs, and a block. Â Rossi Jr. added 19 assists and 12 kills while Millan finished with eight kills and four blocks.
CSE returns to action on Friday when it takes on #9 ranked Lancaster Bible at 7pm.
