Morristown, N.J. — The College of Saint Elizabeth women's volleyball team showed resolve in the second set, falling by just four points, but was ultimately swept, 3-0, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match to Cedar Crest on Tuesday night inside Luing Gymnasium. Prior to the match, both teams shook hands to take part in the CSAC Sportsmanship Week initiative.
Set scores were 25-12, 25-21, 25-13. Saint Elizabeth falls to 6-8, 2-3 CSAC, while Cedar Crest improves to 11-8, 5-0 CSAC.
Senior
Yas Muhammad (Newark, N.J.) totaled a team-high 12 kills, and senior
Stephanie Mitarotonda (East Rutherford, N.J.) finished with 10 kills and eight digs.
Looking ahead, the Eagles are back inside Luing Gym for a home match against Rosemont on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m.
