Morristown, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth delivered a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) sweep of Rosemont on Saturday afternoon. Set scores were 25-20, 25-23, 25-23.
Junior setter
Maura Farley (Iselin, N.J.) recorded a double-double with 26 assists and 10 digs. Senior outside hitter Yasmina Muhammad (Newark, N.J.) led the Eagles (7-8, 3-3 CSAC) with 12 kills.
Saint Elizabeth trailed late in the second set, 21-16, but used four service aces to spark a 9-2 run and secure the pivotal set. In the third set, Rosemont (4-20, 1-5 CSAC) again held a late lead at 22-18. However, the Eagles locked in and finished the match-clinching frame on a 7-1 run.
Looking ahead, Saint Elizabeth is at Bryn Athyn for a 7 p.m. CSAC match on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It is one of three CSAC matches remaining in the regular season.
