KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (10-7, 5-4 NEAC) knocked down 13 three-pointers in route to a 83-64 win at Keuka College on Saturday afternoon.
Cam Tucker finished with a game high 19 points and six steals.
Ted Thelemaque added 18 points while
Jason Saldiveri finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Eagles came storming out of the gate in the first half, knocking down seven of its first nine three-point attempts over the first 10 minutes to take a dominating 37-12 lead. CSE could not continue the incredibly hot start, as it scored just eight points over the final 10 minutes, but still managed to take a 45-29 lead into the halftime break.
CSE shot 52.9% from the floor and hit eight three-pointers in the first half. Defensively, it held Keuka to just 37.9% from the floor and forced 13 turnovers.
After Keuka cut the lead to 12, the Eagles used an 8-2 run to regain an 18-point lead with 16 minutes remaining in regulation. Over the next 10 minutes, Keuka clawed its way back to within 10, but could not get within single-digits. The Eagles used a 9-0 run to take a 19-point lead with 2:22 remaining. Both teams played even over the final two minutes, as the Eagles, dominating from the start, won the game by 19.
