READING, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (8-15, 4-11 NEAC) dominated the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks in its final road game of the season, 109-92 on Wednesday evening.
Five Eagles finished in double-digit scoring including
Jason Saldiveri who erupted for 39 points on 15-23 shooting from the floor. Saldiveri also had eight steals and seven assists. Â
Shaquan Mickens finished with 11 points and a season high 14 rebounds while
Roland Romano added 16 points and eight rebounds. Â
The first half saw fast paced back and forth action, with each team trading leads throughout the first 15 minutes.  The Eagles used a 14-2 run over a 2:30 minute span to take its largest lead of the game at 44-32.  The Nittany Lions closed out the half on a 7-2 run to close the Eagles lead to 50-46 heading into the break.
CSE scored the first six points of the second half to regain its double-digit lead. After continuous back and forth action, Berks cut the Eagles lead to two with 9:50 remaining. After Berks tied the score at 80, the Eagles put the game away, running off a 14-0 run to take a 94-80 lead with 4:32 remaining.  CSE would not allow Berks to get within single digits the rest of the game before winning by 17.
109 Points and 59 in the second half are season highs for the Eagles. Â CSE finished with 64 points in the paint and shot a blistering 55.8% (43-77) from the floor in the game. Â The Eagles also finished with 20 steals in the contest, a season high.
CSE returns to action for its season finale on Saturday when it hosts Wilson College at 12 pm.
