Phoenixville, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's soccer team (0-5-1, 0-1 NEAC) was upended in a non-conference game to Valley Forge, 3-1 on Monday afternoon.
Valley Forge got on the board twice in the first half, scoring goals at the 20:56 and 38:25 marks. The Eagles managed to get seven shots off in the half, but couldn't connect on any as the Patriots took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
After Valley Forge added another goal in the second half,
Desta Sarfo-Adu blasted his first goal of the season from 20 yards out, to get the Eagles within 3-1. CSE continued to battle in the final five minutes, but it was not enough as Valley Forge took the contest, 3-1.
CSE returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Sarah Lawrence at 4:30 pm.
