Abington, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth women's volleyball team (3-9, 1-3 NEAC) used a rally against Delaware Valley in the second match of the day to earn a split at a Penn State Abington tri-match on Saturday afternoon.
In the first match against NEAC opponent Penn State Abington, the Eagles fell in five sets, 3-2 (25-14, 16-25, 25-19, 15-25, 18-20).
Stephanie Mitarotonda led the Eagles in the match, finishing with 19 digs and eight kills.
Maura Farley finished with 19 assists, five digs and four service aces while
Christy Marte added five kills and five blocks.
After dropping the first set in the second match against Delaware Valley, the Eagles stormed back to take the next three and win the match, 3-1 (18-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-21). Farley dominated over the four sets, finishing the match with 17 assists, ten kills, ten digs, and four service aces. Mitarotonda also had a stellar match, finishing with 17 digs and six service aces.
CSE returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Rutgers-Newark at 7 pm.
