Morristown, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (7-27, 4-14 NEAC) fell in a pair of conference games to Wilson College, 11-0 and 13-2 on Friday afternoon.
In the top of the first inning, Kayla Sullenberger hit a two-out solo home run, giving Wilson a 1-0 lead. Wilson added three more runs over the next two innings to open up a 4-0 lead after three.
In the bottom of the fourth, Elizabeth Unger lined a single to right, the first hit of the game for CSE. Victoria Cialella added a double in the fifth inning; however, Wilson added seven more runs over the next two innings, taking game one, 11-0.
After Wilson took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the third inning of game two, Unger lined a two-run single to left, tying the score at two. In the bottom of the fourth, the Eagles loaded the bases with one out, but were unable to plate the go-ahead run.
In the top of the fifth, Wilson scored four of their five runs in the inning with two outs to take a 7-2 lead. Wilson added six more runs in the sixth inning to take the game, 13-2.
CSE returns on Saturday for its season finale when it hosts Gallaudet University at 12 pm.
