Keuka Park, N.Y. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (15-10, 13-7 NEAC) dropped its final regular season contest of the season to Keuka College, 72-67 on Saturday afternoon.
Deja Ingram led CSE with 15 points and 14 rebounds, including eight on the offensive glass.
Jasmine Poole added 14 points and 14 rebounds while Danesha Triplett finished with nine points and six rebounds.
After trailing 15-14 at the end of the first quarter, the Eagles opened the second period by scoring the first six points to take a 20-15 lead. Keuka retook the lead over the next two minutes with a 9-2 run. Both team matched each other for the final four minutes of the half as Keuka took a 32-30 lead into the halftime break.
After the Eagles took a one-point lead with 6:04 remaining in the third quarter, Keuka controlled the final six minutes, taking a 54-46 lead into the fourth quarter. Despite Keuka opening up a 15-point lead, CSE sliced the deficit to five with three minutes remaining. CSE battled over the final three minutes, but could not get any closer, dropping the contest by five.
After finishing 13-7 in the NEAC, the Eagles will travel to Bryn Athyn on Tuesday evening for the first round of the NEAC playoffs.Â
