Morristown, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (7-15, 6-12 NEAC) was downed by Cazenovia College, 114-89 on Sunday afternoon.
Jason Saldiveri paced the Eagles on offense, finishing with 31 points on 11-21 from the floor.
Cameron Tucker had a tremendous game of his own, scoring 19 points including four from behind the arc.
Marlon Hart added 12 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Cazenovia used an 11-0 run early in the first half to open up a 21-7 lead. CSE would trade baskets over the next five minutes before the Wildcats opened its largest lead of the game at 19. The Eagles were unable to chip away at the deficit as Cazenovia took a 60-38 lead into halftime.
The Eagles started the second half with a burst of energy, scoring the first eight points to get within 60-46. CSE would get the deficit to as little as 11, however the Wildcats quickly pushed the lead back to 21. Throughout the remaining ten minutes, the Eagles would not be able to make another run, dropping the contest, 114-89.
CSE returns to action on Friday when it travels to Wells College for a 7 pm tip.
