MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (1-4, 0-2 NEAC) fell to Gallaudet University in a NEAC contest, 69-53 on Saturday afternoon.
Deja Ingram dominated on offense for the Eagles, finishing with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks.Â
Kamani Williams nine points and six rebounds.Â
Kamille Jacobs added eight points and five assists.
The first quarter saw the Bison take an early four-point lead before the Eagles came back to tie the score at six. Gallaudet used a 6-0 run to open up a 12-6 lead before taking a 17-10 lead into the second quarter. The Bison opened up the second quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 24-10 lead over the Eagles. CSE could not get the deficit to single digits as Gallaudet took a 32-22 lead into halftime.
Gallaudet managed to open up a 22-point lead in the third quarter, it largest of the game. Despite the deficit, the Eagles closed the quarter strong, ending on a 7-0 run to head into the final period. Trailing by as many as 20 in the final quarter, CSE fought back to get within 58-47 with 2:58 remaining in the contest.  Over the final three minutes, the Eagles could manage to pull any closer, dropping the contest, 69-53.
CSE returns to action on Sunday when it travels to Berkley College for a 1 pm tip.
