Deja Ingram finished with 27 points as the College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (2-4, 0-2 NEAC) earned its second victory of the season, defeating Berkley College of New York, 57-54 on Sunday afternoon.
Ingram's 27 points came on 11-18 shooting from the floor and knocked down all five of her free throw attempts. Â
Rakiyah Sellers added 11 points and a career high seven steals while
Damaris King finished eight points. Â
Kamani Williams chipped in with four points and nine rebounds.
CSE opened up an early lead and managed to outscore the Knights in each of the first three quarters. Â CSE held the Knights to just 30.2% shooting from the floor while forcing 25 turnovers. Â The Eagles dominated down low, outscoring the Knights 36-24 in the paint and finished with three more assists.
CSE returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Bryn Athyn for an 8 pm tip.
