ABINGTON, P.A. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (2-3, 0-1 NEAC) fell in its first conference game of the season at Penn State Abington, 91-64 on Tuesday evening.
Roland Romano finished with a team high 14 points and eight rebounds. Â
Tino Gonzalez pitched in with 12 points while
Jason Saldiveri added nine points and two steals.
CSE struggled from the floor against Abington, shooting just 31.3%. Â The Eagles out-rebounded the Nittany Lions on the offensive glass, 13-12 while converting on one more free throw than Abington.
Abington opened up a double-digit lead in the first half before the Eagles used a late rally to get within seven at halftime.  CSE trimmed the deficit to as little as three, two minutes into the second half, but Abington quickly ran it back to double-digits and never looked back, taking the contest, 91-64.
CSE returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Gallaudet University at 12 pm.
