Men's Basketball Tripped Up At Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (1-2, 0-0 NEAC) fell at Centenary University, 92-73 on Tuesday evening.

Cam Tucker led the Eagles with a career high 22 points. Tino Gonzalez also finished with a career high, pouring in 13 points including three three-pointers. Roland Romano added 10 points and nine rebounds in the contest.

The Eagles fell behind quickly in the first half ast the Cyclones took a double-digit lead just four minutes in.  Despite getting down by as much as 19 in the half, CSE made a late push to cut the deficit to ten at halftime.

Four minutes into the second half, the Eagles roared back, as Romano scored back to back buckets to get CSE within one.  However, the Cyclones went on a run of their own to push the lead back to 12.  The Eagles continued to battle, but could not mount another comeback, dropping the contest, 92-73.

CSE returns to action on Monday for its home opener when it hosts King's College at 8 pm.
