Chambersburg, Pa. - Five Eagles scored in double-figures as the College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (5-4, 3-1 NEAC) rolled past Wilson College, 92-48 on Saturday afternoon.
Damaris King and
Donnae Days led the Eagles with 14 points each, while
Jasmine Poole and
Danesha Triplett added 12 points a piece.
Deja Ingram added her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with ten points and ten rebounds.
CSE used an 8-0 run early in the first quarter to take a 12-3 lead four minutes into the game. Over the remaining six minutes, the Eagles ran off a 12-3 run to take a 24-6 lead into the second quarter.
After Wilson cut CSE's lead to 13 in the second quarter, the Eagles scored the next eight points to open up the largest lead of the game at 38-17.
LaChe Robinson scored a late bucket with 17 seconds in the quarter to give the Eagles a 45-22 lead at halftime. CSE's defense was stifling in the first half, forcing 18 Wilson turnovers.
The Eagles continued to step on the peddle in the third quarter, outscoring Wilson 18-14. In the final period, CSE began with a 10-0 run, opening up a 39 point lead. The Eagles would outscore Wilson 29-12 in the quarter, taking the contest 92-48.
CSE returns to action on Sunday when they travel to Gallaudet for a 12 pm tip.
