Lancaster, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (7-12, 6-9 NEAC) was upended by Lancaster Bible, 95-65 on Tuesday evening.
Marlon Hart led the Eagles with 21 points and five rebounds while
Jason Saldiveri added 18 points and four rebounds.
After the Eagles took an early 9-6 lead, the Chargers went on an 11-0 run to take a 17-9 lead with 10 minutes remaining in the first half. Despite the Chargers taking a 10 point lead, the Eagles continued to fight, slicing the deficit to 25-22 with 5:38 to play in the half. Lancaster managed to score 11 of the final 13 points to take a 39-28 lead into halftime.
The Eagles would manage to get within five with 15 minutes left in regulation. Despite cutting the deficit, the Chargers quickly ran the lead to 15 three minutes later. The Eagles would be unable to make another run, dropping the contest, 95-65.
CSE looks for revenge on Saturday when it hosts Penn College at 2 pm.
