Ithaca, N.Y. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (12-6, 10-4 NEAC) dropped a pair of conference road games to SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Poly over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Eagles fell to SUNY Cobleskill, 69-62.
Jasmine Poole led the Eagles with 28 points while Deja Ingram added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
After trailing by eight at the end of the first quarter, the Eagles struggled to get its way back in the game, taking a ten point deficit into halftime. Despite the Eagles outscoring Cobleskill in the final two quarters, CSE was unable to get closer then four before dropping the contest by seven.
On Sunday, the Eagles were defeated by NEAC North leading SUNY Poly, 79-64. Rakiyah Sellers, Poole and Ingram all scored 13 points a piece while
Dianne Nieves added a career high eight points.
After the Eagles trailed by 15 after the first quarter, the Eagles outscored the Wildcats 21-11 in the second quarter to trail by five at halftime. SUNY Poly dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Eagles by 17. The Eagles were unable to mount a fourth quarter comeback, dropping the contest by 15.
CSE returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to NEAC South leading Lancaster Bible for a 5:30 pm tip.
