Jasmine Poole scored a season high 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to give the College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (11-5, 9-2 NEAC) a 85-63 win over Penn College on Saturday afternoon.
Poole's 30 points came on 11-18 shooting from the floor.
Deja Ingram added another double-double, finishing with 18 points and 17 rebounds while
Danesha Triplett finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
The Eagles jumped out early in the first quarter with a 13-0 run to take a 15-3 lead with 4:55 remaining.
Donnae Days scored the last four points of the quarter to give the Eagles a 22-8 lead heading into the second period. Both teams went back and forth in the second ten minutes as the Eagles took a 37-22 lead into halftime.
After Penn College outscored the Eagles by three in the third quarter, the Eagles opened the fourth period on an 11-2 run to regain a 21 point lead. CSE would manage to push the lead to as high as 24 before taking the game, 85-63.
The Eagles managed to force 29 turnovers in the game and held Penn College to just 38.5% shooting from the floor in the victory.
CSE returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Penn State Abington for a 6 pm tip.
