Williamsport, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (6-9, 5-6 NEAC) slipped past Penn College for its third straight conference win, 85-83 on Saturday afternoon. 
Jason Saldiveri finished with a team high 21 points while 
Shaquan Mickens added a career high 12 points and five rebounds. 
Roland Romano added a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
Trailing 11-9 four minutes in, the Eagles used an 8-0 run over the next three minutes to take a 17-11 lead. After the Wildcats fought back to take a three-point lead, CSE ran off an 11-0 run to take a 31-23 lead with 7:25 remaining in the half. After the Eagles took its largest lead of the game at 40-31, the Wildcats ended the half scoring 11 of the final 13 points to tie the game at 42 heading into halftime.
After taking a two point lead early in the second half, 
Marlon Hart scored four straight points to up the Eagles lead to six. Despite the Eagles hanging onto a lead for the next five minutes, the Wildcats fought back, going on a 9-0 run to take a 63-59 lead with 9:27 remaining in regulation. CSE would come right back, as Cam Tucker followed up a 
Gabriel Valerio layup with a three-pointer, giving the Eagles a one point lead.
Penn College would retake the lead by as much as six, but the Eagles would storm back to regain a 77-76 lead with 2:44 remaining. After going back and forth over the next two minutes, Penn College managed to tie the score up at 81 with 50 seconds remaining. With 25 seconds to go, Romano knocked down two clutch free-throws, which was followed by two more free-throws by Saldiveri. The Wildcats would make a layup as time expired, but it was not enough as CSE held on for the two point victory. 
CSE returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Penn State Abington for an 8 pm start.
